Aosdàna, Iona

Aosdàna is a beautiful gallery selling Celtic and contemporary jewellery on the Isle of Iona. From their workshop and studio at the St. Columba Steadings, they continue to use the same techniques as earlier Iona silversmiths to craft the original designs that have remained so popular over the years. Each piece is hand finished and reflects the care and attention only fitting to the historical legacy of the island’s craftsmen and women.

Ardalanish Weavers, South West Mull

Ardalanish Farm is the home of Isle of Mull Weavers, producing a range of beautiful tweeds, from the wool of their native Hebridean sheep. A stunning coastline of white sands and turquoise seas, fringed with flowering machair, is the backdrop to Ardalanish Farm. Here you will find the native Hebridean sheep that provide much of the wool for the beautiful tweeds produced by Isle of Mull Weavers, located in the heart of the farm. All the year round, the workshop is open to visitors to see the amazing sight of the Victorian Dobcross power looms in operation. These looms are fascinating to watch in action; they maintain the highest quality by allowing the overseeing of every inch of cloth produced. Once made into garments, the finished tweeds can last for generations.
