The Picture Gallery exhibits the work of artists Ronnie Leckie and Aska Marzec. Ronnie came to Mull in 1975 and established a business screen-printing greetings cards. The cards reached far and wide, from Macy’s in New York to Liberty and Harrod’s in London, with clients such as the World Wildlife Fund. Like many other creative people choosing to live and work on Mull, Ronnie found inspiration in the beauty of the unspoiled natural environment and the ability to escape to find solitude and peace. His landscape paintings capture the atmosphere and contrasting light of the island, from moody expansive skies and dramatic mountain ranges to coastlines and forests in delightful detail and colour.
Aska arrived from Poland in 2006 and succumbed to the beauty of Mull, experimenting in a variety of creative techniques and instigating community projects and weekend events. Visit her website to view her paintings, resin art and find out about weekend workships
