We are proud members of the Mull and Iona Food trail and source as much of our meat, seafood and fish as possible from the Islands to keep our food miles lower but primarily so that we can guarantee provenance and support the local economy. We have our own organic vegetable garden to provide as much of our summer salad, herbs and vegetables as we can, the garden also supports a wide range of habitats and food for birds and flower nectar for the bees kept in a nearby garden. Our baker makes all our own bread, cakes pastries and desserts and we use only the finest organic ingredients and we hope that you can taste the difference!

We are open from 10am to non-residents for morning coffee and home baking.

Our lunch menu is simple and is served between 12.15pm and 2.00pm and consists of tasty soups, sandwiches and platters to enable those with a limited time on the Island to have the maximum time to explore the Island as possible.  Afternoon teas, are served either inside or on the lawn from 2.00-4.30pm and include shortbread, brownies and the renowned ‘Argyll Hotel Scone’ that people return year after year for.

Dining times are between 6.00pm and 8.00pm. Our A la carte menu has fish, meat, vegetarian and vegan options and we can cater for most food intolerances. Each meal is hand made to order and we have a relaxed service so you can enjoy your meal to the full. Our restaurant is very popular and you would be advised to book ahead of time especially from May to the end of September. We occasionally have walk in tables but there is no guarantee.  We look forward to welcoming you soon!

Accessibility

We have limited accessibility due to the historic nature of the building. We can support access of wheelchairs to the dining room. There is one step up to the public toilet so some mobility would be needed.
