Craignure Bunkhouse is a 20 berth, eco-sensitively designed hostel situated on the sea front in Craignure, Isle of Mull.
With mountains, forests, lochs and shore lines on our doorstep, there is plenty of wilderness to explore and wildlife to be seen.
Purpose-built in 2014, with four dorms, two sleeping six and two sleeping four (extra beds available for whole hostel bookings). Each dormitory has an en-suite shower room, lockers and each bunk has its own reading light and USB port. Bed linen is included, and towels can be hired at £2.00 each. During the current restrictions only en-suite private rooms are available.
We have an open planned common area with a well equipped self-catering kitchen, plenty of lounge space, a wood burning stove, and a good selection of books, board games and jigsaws for children and adults alike.
We proud to offer disabled access, with our hostel being all at ground level. One of our 4 berth rooms has an easy access bed and a wet room with support bars and shower seat. An additional bathroom in the hall also offer a disabled access toilet.
The hostel also offers bike storage, laundry facilities (additional cost), a boot room for drying outdoor clothes and footwear, and there is an extra shower room which can also be available to use by non-residents for a small charge.
We are committed to keeping it green! The bunkhouse’s underfloor heating and hot water are powered by log-based biomass boiler and solar-heat tubes. The majority of our lights are motion censored, and our washer/dyers are energy sensitive. We also have all varieties of recycling bins, do our own composting and use eco-friendly cleaning products.
We are open all year round and offer everything from single berth, to whole hostel bookings.
Families and group bookings welcome.
Dog’s accepted by arrangement.
