Primarily for pilgrims, Sister Pamela welcomes guests for Bed & Breakfast.

Bunessan is the largest village on the Ross of Mull, four miles from the ferry to Iona. It is a sprawling village of three hundred people surrounding a bay with a jetty, from which small fishing boats sail.  It is three miles from the lovely sandy beaches of Uisken and Ardalanish – the latter also being famously known for its weaving mill.

The village centre is about a mile and a half from Roan Cottage and has a general store/post office, hotel, gift shop, café, historical centre and Church.

Sister Pamela (and Willow, the dog) offer one double bedroom for retreatants, with en-suite facilities.  A Chapel is available and guests are welcome to join the Daily Office. Silence is kept after Compline. The house has a Wi-Fi connection and there is plenty of parking.

The house caters primarily for pilgrims requiring bed and breakfast on their journeys, but we understand that our guests come to stay for many different reasons.  Some just need to get away for a little while… time to themselves for meditation, for respite, for reflection on life. An evening meal can therefore be provided if requested at the time of booking.

Pilgrims and retreatants stay for a maximum of five days.
