Bright spacious accommodation for groups up to 15 persons in our historic village hall bunkhouse. Situated in a splendid rugged moorland setting with picturesque views to Loch Pottie and pretty “St Ernan’s Church by the Loch”. There are spectacular seascapes to the Treshnish Isles and Iona nearby.
The Bunkhouse for groups is located one mile from Fionnphort village the ferry port for the Iona, Staffa and Treshnish ferry boats. Handily connected to Fionnphort by the main road A849, which has a service bus route from Craignure to Fionnphort and an all weather cycling/walking path. There is ample off road parking.
There are 2 accommodation units; an eight single bed room with toilet and shower, a six single bed room with toilet and shower and a ground floor disabled or leaders room for 1 person with disabled shower facility giving an absolute maximum total capacity of 15. The bunkhouse is ideal for small groups.
There is a main hall and small hall facility for group meetings which can be additionally hired. There is also a kitchen facility which can be used with the accommodation and/or hall hire.
The Ross of Mull is renowned for its fabulous wildlife and birdlife, unusual and varied geology, particularly the Isle of Staffa, powder white beaches, turbulent history, and rough coastal walking with spectacular scenery. In summer the corncrake can be heard in Iris beds in fields nearby and rare hen harriers circle the surrounding moorland regularly.
