Craigmore Cottage is situated between Salen and Gruline and is an ideal base from which to tour Mull. The cottage enjoys views to the hills of Aros to the front, with a woodland aspect to the rear. The cottage’s rural location means that guests can indulge in wildlife and birdwatching from their own front door – deer frequently being seen on the hills opposite, as well as eagles, hen harriers and buzzards occasionally flying overhead.
Craigmore Cottage is a modern cottage (built 2007), traditionally styled externally, yet spacious and light internally. All on one level, the wide front door leads into the porch and from there into the lounge-dining room with kitchen area. This living room is comfortably and tastefully furnished with dining table and chairs, and two comfy 2-seater sofas. It has satellite television, DVD player, CD player, books and maps for guests’ use. The cottage is heated by electric convector heaters and electric woodburner-effect fire. The kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, toaster, electric kettle, etc. There is a large larder cupboard and ample storage and worktop space. The windows overlook the enclosed garden. The bedroom has a double bed, built in wardrobe and bedroom furniture. The bathroom has a wash basin, toilet, and full length bath with shower over. Bed linen and towels are provided, as are other extras including loo rolls, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, hand soap, etc.
Electricity is by meter reading (the first £10 is included, anything over by honesty box). The property is supplied with water from a private water supply.
